The number of such Honorary Members shall not exceed seven at any one time.
A Current Member who remains in persistent default of obligations owed to the Guild, in accordance with the provisions of this Constitution, may be declared dormant or be subject to expulsion in the manner herein prescribed. Associate Members shall remain in good standing through the prompt discharge of all prescribed dues and the faithful observance of such obligations of attendance and participation as the Constitution or the Guild may require.
Trainee Membership is reserved for individuals undertaking formal study or apprenticeship in screenwriting, as well as those who have demonstrated aptitude and seek to refine their craft under structured professional guidance, but who have yet to satisfy the requirements for admission as Current or Associate Members.
Trainee Members shall remit fifty per cent (50%) of the prescribed membership fee as evidence of commitment and shall be exempt from the payment of dues and levies. They may attend Guild meetings and participate in deliberations but shall neither move motions nor exercise voting rights. Furthermore, they shall be ineligible to vote or to stand for election to any office of the Guild.
